I eat salad almost every day, since the vegetables are very low calorie and salads are very tasty and easy to make. I use the inside basket of my OXO spinner to rinse my greens under cold water and then I put the basket in the spinner and spin them to remove excess water that would otherwise dilute my salad dressings and make my salad less flavorful. This spinner is well made and easy to assemble. It is also dishwasher safe in the top rack of the dishwasher, unlike many other spinners. I had two other spinners before purchasing this one from OXO and it is vastly superior to both of them. I use the large version.

I asked for a Zojirushi bread machine for Christmas because hand making bread is so labor intensive. Now, all I have to do is add the ingredients to the machine in the proper order and this machine does all the rest. It mixes everything so I don’t have to get my hands sticky, thoroughly kneads and times the rising of the dough and then bakes the bread for me. It is so easy to use and it is nice to have homemade bread created from the freshest and best quality ingredients. I did lots of research before I purchased my machine and this one was highly rated. The Home Bakery Supreme has 10 cycles in all, including a sourdough starter and a quick-bake option. Its crust control function lets you choose light, medium or dark crusts. The timer means you can set the completion time up to 13 hours in advance. I personally love it!

KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer
My Mom had a KitchenAid mixer when I was growing up, and I learned to love how handy it was for mixing batters and doughs. There are also numerous extensions that you can buy to add the ability to slice, grate, make pasta and much more. When I bought my first house, I immediately purchased my own KitchenAid Stand Mixer with some help from my Grandmother. I’ve had it for 10 years now and it’s still running great! The Chefs online store sells the mixer in 24 different colors so it will look nice sitting on your kitchen counter.
